Saxophone virtuoso Damien Mathieson presents a programme of music tracing the development of the saxophone since its invention in Belgium in 1840. Brussels, Berlin and Buenos Aires are cities closely linked with the saxophone.
This programme will include works from the Romantic period, together with works by Erwin Schulhoff, Eugène Bozza and Astor Piazolla. The concert will be accompanied by pianist, Bradley Gilchrist.
